With their Dada-Pythagoras-Cubist rock mantra, the mischievous Poitrine brothers invite you to lose yourself in a vortex of hypnotic sonic and visual motifs. Seemingly asymmetrical and dissonant, the music of these two large-faced individuals surprisingly compels you to dance. Once you're settled onto solid drum grooves, the complex interweavings of microtonal guitars take on a festive air, all within a typically rock'n'roll exuberance. Angine de Poitrine is an anonymous artistic project. Any information or speculation regarding the identity of its members is unconfirmed and has not received any official validation from the group.

Vol. II consists of six new math-rock compositions propelled by the angular, recursive, and hypnotic grooves of Khn's idiosyncratic two-necked microtonal guitar and the almost mechanical syncopations and motorik persistences of Klek's drums. The audience is already familiar with the chasing, colliding, and fleeing melodies of Mata Zyklek and Fabienk (which, at present, is one of the 50 most Shazamed songs in the world), and will immediately fall for the spiraling explosions of Sarniezz , the gypsy-circus convolutions that turn into über-shredding of UTZP , the heady and intoxicating punk-rock rebounds of Yor Zarad , and the alien blues jam of Angor. Each track is a ride in itself – the album, therefore, is a cosmic odyssey, piloted by two affable beings from the far reaches of space to spread the unifying power of rock wherever they go. And the result is the same, every time: astonished smiles, increasingly less discreet hip-swaying, and other St. Vitus' dances unfold upon receiving their simultaneously incongruous and catchy vibes, like vortices from which one emerges refreshed, exhilarated, and eager for more.
